Tragic Accident on Foreign Vacation. Will There Be a Happy Ending to Klaudia’s Nightmare?

A 24-year-old woman was injured in an accident while on vacation in Tajikistan. She was in critical condition at a local hospital, but it refused to provide any further assistance. The health and life of the tourist from Silesia were in question – but it turns out that this story may have a happy ending.
The accident occurred on July 27. Klaudia Krysiak from Kłobuck was on vacation in Tajikistan. When the tragedy occurred, the woman was traveling with her uncle – the car in which the Poles were traveling slid down an embankment and rolled over several times. The man suffered a head injury and a closed fracture of the second rib. His life is not in danger. The Polish woman, however, suffered much more.
As we have already written, Klaudia suffered numerous head injuries as a result of the impact. She was diagnosed with a cranio-vertebral injury and concussion. What is more, the 24-year-old also suffered a fracture of the eighth thoracic vertebra with spinal cord compression. She is also battling a first-degree spinal concussion. A collection was organized for medical transport to bring the woman and her uncle to Poland. The cost of a medical helicopter turned out to be prohibitive for the family – it is over 100 thousand euros.
However, MP Łukasz Litewka and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs got involved in helping.
“This is not a frame from a movie”
As we read in a post published on July 30 on the politician’s social media, “Klaudia is staying at a medical facility in a small town, since the morning, together with the Director of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Jakub Wawrzyniak, MP Henryk Kiepura and, above all, Klaudia’s mother, we have been trying to organize a helicopter flight to the capital of Tajikistan, Dushanbe.”
A day later, wonderful news appeared on Łukasz Litewka’s fanpage on Facebook. The MP informed that Klaudia was already being transported. – This is not a frame from a film. Klaudia is currently being transported to the capital Dushanbe – we read in Łukasz Litewka’s post.
The flight will take place from August 1 to 2 – the woman will land at the airport in Pyrzowice. From there she will fly to the Voivodeship Specialist Hospital in Sosnowiec.
