There are two weeks left until the start of the 2026/2027 school year. Polish families enjoy the last moments of a blissful holiday and often choose seaside towns as their destination. This was also the case last weekend, when the weather was very favorable to vacationers, creating an aura with high temperatures and an almost cloudless sky.
The emptiness on the Baltic Sea is a myth. “There are lots of tourists.”
In those days, Kołobrzeg was experiencing a real tourist siege. – You can see and feel that there are a lot of tourists. The tourism industry has no reason to complain, says Mariusz Ławro from the Regional Tourist and Spa Association in Kołobrzeg in an interview with “Fakt”. It is also difficult to find a free room in Dźwirzyno.
– There are so many tourists that there are no more free places in the facilities I manage. As far as I know, it’s similar in other hotels. In addition to the weather, the dangerous situation in the world also contributed to the high turnout – adds the hotelier.

Mrs. Anna went to Kołobrzeg with her husband and two sons. They came from Łódź. “We’ve been here for several days. We were looking for a trip abroad, but the costs were too high. The Baltic Sea is always a good choice for us – says. — Holidays on the Baltic Sea do not have to be expensive. It all depends on the choices. Sometimes we go for dinner, which costs PLN 250 for the whole family, but we also use milk bars, where we pay PLN 30 per person for a two-course dinner with compote, says Ms. Anna.
At the same time, the tourist emphasizes that finding accommodation – despite the increase in prices – was quite a challenge. — A week before departure, prices were still normal. But from mid-week, when everyone remembered the long weekend, prices increased by up to 100%. – he says. — We rented a house a little further from the beach, so we managed to find something at a reasonable price – he closes the thread.
