Tourists follow these rules and feel safe. Just simple steps recommended by experts are enough

Traveling around the world requires caution. This is largely influenced by, among others, current situation in the Middle East. At the turn of February and March 2026, overnight, many tourists vacationing in Dubai, Abu Dhabi, Kenya and other popular destinations were trapped without the possibility of returning on the planned date because their flights were canceled. On the other hand, those who had just a trip ahead of them were waiting with fear whether they would lose their money and the trip of their dreams. Fortunately, many of them had adequate insurance, which allowed them to prevent losses and deal with the difficult situation in a smart way.

A Polish patient with tissue inflammation was hospitalized there for over two weeks and during his hospitalization he could not obtain medical documentation – in Japan it is prepared and updated only at the time of discharge from the hospital. Ultimately, it was necessary to involve a local agent and hospital translators in order to obtain the consent of the attending physicians to return the patient to Poland. Although treatment was limited to pharmacotherapy and rest, and in Poland the patient was discharged after a few days, in Japan many difficulties had to be faced, and the treatment costs in the cherry blossom country amounted to over PLN 50,000. zloty.

A tourist from Poland was saved from a horrendous bill while traveling in Switzerland. A carefree holiday turned into a moment of horror when the woman unexpectedly required surgery due to appendicitis. The extended stay involved additional costs, but thanks to the policy, the Polish woman could count on full payment for the treatment by the insurer, as well as assistance from an assistant in organizing convalescence and transport to Poland. Two days in hospital and surgery amounted to PLN 32,000. francs, i.e. approx. 150 thousand zloty. – After so many medications, anesthesia and surgery, I wouldn’t be able to cope on my own – commented a UNIQA client.
