2025 was a record year in terms of the number of Poles visiting Croatia. Our country is one of the leading markets for its tourism.

The Croatian Tourist Board celebrates 25 years of operation of the representative office in Poland. The anniversary is an opportunity to look at the scale of changes that have taken place in tourist relations between Poland and Croatia: from 2001 to 2025, the number of tourists from Poland visiting Croatia increased from 391.8 thousand to 1.2 million, i.e. more than three times.

In recent years, the number of guests from our country exceeded one million annually, and 2025 brought the highest result in the entire ranking. Also last year, travelers voted Croatia the best country to visit in Europe.

On the occasion of the anniversary, the Croatian Tourist Board emphasizes the importance of Poland as one of the key foreign markets for Croatian tourism.

“The best confirmation of this is the fact that Poland has been among the five most important markets for Croatian tourism for many years. In 2001, the number of overnight stays by Polish guests in Croatia amounted to 2.5 million, and in 2025 this number almost tripled, reaching over 7 million overnight stays. Such results show how much Polish tourists value Croatian safety, quality, proximity and hospitality, as well as the tourist offer that attracts them to our destinations also in the pre- and post-season period. In this context, high-quality transport connections and our strategic partner, LOT Polish Airlines, which connect Warsaw with airports in Zagreb, Split and Dubrovnik, play an important role. I am glad that in this way we are jointly building the position of Croatia as an attractive year-round destination, while strengthening Croatian tourism on the Polish market,” said Kristjan Staničić, director of the Croatian Community. Tourist.

Małgorzata Kowalska, director of the representative office of the Croatian Tourist Board in Poland, noted that the method of promoting the destination has changed over the years.

– Over the 25 years of operation of the representative office, the way we talk about Croatia in Poland has changed. At the beginning, it was crucial to build knowledge about the field and show its basic advantages. Today we can talk about Croatia much more broadly: through the diversity of regions, local experiences, travel outside the main season, culture, gastronomy and active recreation (…) – said Małgorzata Kowalska.
