“Ranking of Polish Beaches” is an editorial plebiscite that has been organized by Travelist Magazine for 13 years, and its latest edition was created in cooperation with the Polish Tourist Organization. The list selects places on the Baltic Sea that best meet the various needs of beachgoers – both those who want to regenerate, focusing on peaceful rest, and those who are hungry for activity.

– It was one of the most interesting editions in the history of our ranking. For the first time, we gave the vote entirely to beach goers in the Beach of the Year category – without offering them any nominations – and we immediately received the result, which symbolically opens a new chapter of the plebiscite. Ustka not only won the Beach Goers’ Award, but also won in the family category, showing that it is today one of the brightest holiday spots on the map of the Polish coast. – comments Marek Świrkowicz, editor-in-chief of Travelist Magazine.

Ustka won the Beach of the Year title for the first time in the history of the ranking. “The city’s success was determined by the combination of developed infrastructure and natural values: from the eastern beach bustling with holiday life with a promenade, whose history dates back to the 19th century, to the quieter parts of the western part of the resort, eagerly chosen by people looking for rest closer to nature,” we read in the Travelist summary.

Świnoujście was in second place in the rankingwhich was the leader throughout the 12th edition of the ranking. The city’s greatest advantage is a wide, sandy beach with gentle access to the water and extensive infrastructure. “Thanks to this, Świnoujście has been attracting both families, active people and tourists looking for a well-organized resort for years,” we read further.

The third position belongs to Dźwirzyno. This town was appreciated by beachgoers as a more intimate alternative to the largest resorts. “Thanks to the location between the Baltic Sea and Lake Resko Przymorskie, relaxation here can be easily combined with water activities, longer walks and bicycle trips. The wide beach, separated from the mainland by a strip of dunes and a pine forest, tempts people looking for contact with nature and good conditions for relaxation,” says Travelist.
