Tomasz Kammel made his debut alongside Iza Krzan on Channel Zero. “I was in tatters emotionally”

Tomasz Kammel was an employee of Telewizja Polska for several decades, and although he had a “short affair” with Polsat, it was with the public broadcaster that he was most associated. When the station’s management changed, many people were surprised that even he lost his job at “Pytanie na śniadanie”, which he had hosted for three years in a duet with Izabella Krzan. Now the presenters have joined forces again, but this time at Kanal Zero.

The “Krzammel” duo, Tomasz Kammel and Izabella Krzan, aroused great sympathy among viewers during their work in Polish Television, so it is no wonder that Krzysztof Stanowski decided to engage them in his Channel Zero. They finally debuted in the internet program on Thursday morning, September 5, and during the conversation revealed many facts regarding their dismissal from Polish Television.

At the very beginning of the morning on Channel Zero, Izabella Krzan confessed that she was “excited, but also a little moved”, and then asked Tomasz Kammel what he had been doing over the past 8 months. “And I traveled around Poland 5 times, hosted various concerts, spoke to people a lot, but not in front of cameras, but from the stage, I trained, I made my own Kammel Czanel, my program on YouTube and other social media… Things were happening,” he said, and then confessed that he was a little stressed, because working on the Internet is different from working on TV. Later, he also mentioned the decisions of Telewizja Polska.

– We had our last programme on air on 29th December. Later people wondered what happened and why, since there were great couples who made this programme and made it popular, whose departure meant that there were probably a hundred or so thousand people who left with them, that there was sympathy from the viewers… Well, it all worked out. Why did it happen like that? My answer is – I don’t know. And I’ll tell you that I spent those 8 months looking at everything that was happening there and I still can’t find the answer, but on the other hand I tell myself – their loss – said Tomasz Kammel.

Izabella Krzan reacted to his words immediately. The presenter said that Krzysztof Stanowski was good at finding employees and knew when to call. She also confessed that she found herself in Channel Zero thanks to Tomasz Kammel. – although the journalist received the offer earlier, he could not undertake this cooperation at that time. Everything was blocked by… TVP.

– Krzychu called me shortly after the news broke that we were not on “Pytanie na śniadanie” and that the entire team of presenters was wiped out. Only in such serious companies are there various serious contracts and I didn’t actually get permission to come here. Because of course I was ready to show up here and work as a TVP journalist, officially protecting the company’s good name, but at the same time being here. But in fact, the only thing that came out of it was a story called Krzanik – he confessed, adding that although Krzysztof Stanowski did not know Iza Krzan, he quickly caught up and hired her.

Then Tomasz Kammel and Izabella Krzan moved on to hosting the program. After nearly three hours of the format and conversations not only with invited guests, but also with Internet users who were simultaneously participating in the chat, it was time to say goodbye to the viewers. Then the presenter asked the journalist how he assessed his debut.

– We need to calibrate this better, so that we can both talk and question the guests appropriately. It was great, I don’t feel like the time has passed at all. At first I was in tatters emotionally, but then I started to organize myself somehow. I was afraid of the chat, because some people here are going at it evenly and very well, but later it turned out that it somehow drives me well and makes me laugh, because some of the comments are funny, even though they may be hardcore. For example: “Kammel is 53, being gay makes you look younger” – again, being gay follows me everywhere, no matter what I say that I’m not… Jacek Kurski also appeared here as a potential friend of mine… Everything is there – he added.
