As expected, at the end of the 2024/25 club season Tomasz Fornal will say goodbye to the colors of JSW Jastrzębski Węgiel. The volleyball player just informed about it.
In social media, more specifically on Instagram, a special recording appeared from the host. A volleyball player who is one of the biggest stars of PlusLiga recent years, during the Final Four of the Champions League will play his farewell matches in the colors of the club from Jastrzębie-Zdrój.
– Yes. Six T -shirts, six seasons. Damn, well … (laughs). I am not good in such statements. But you have to inform you before the latter, at least I feel the need. That you, as my fans and the club, know that this Champions League would be the last I will play in Jastrzębski Węgiel. A story will end after this tournament, it seems to me that the time will come to summaries. But this is only for you. Keep your fingers crossed for us in the last match. I, as well as the whole team, will do everything to end it like in a beautiful fairy tale, a beautiful movie. And that we would all be happy about the victory in the Champions League. So much. We will sum up it later. That’s all at the moment. In such statements I am not good, but I just say what I feel. And it seems to me that you all have to know that the last days … The last are and that’s it (laughs). The FF Champions League tournament will take place on May 16-18 at the Atlas Arena in Łódź. Jastrzębień in the semi -final, on Saturday (i.e. 17.05) will face Aluron CMC Warta Zawiercie.

It is worth recalling that in the last two seasons the club from Jastrzębie-Zdrój played in the Champions League finals. Jastrzębianie, with a fornal composition, but twice they lost the decisive fight for the title of the best club team in Europe. In 2023, after the matching match in Turin, JSW Jastrzębski lost 2: 3 to Zaksa Kędzierzyn-Koźle.
It was worse last season. The hawks clearly lost (0: 3) with the Italian itas Trentino. Turkish Antalya did not prove to be happy for the Polish champions at that time.
Who knows, maybe it will be different this time, the more that the Fornal is left only to the gold of the Champions League to complete the morning achievements of the titles-won in the colors of the club from Jastrzębie-Zdrój. A volleyball player from Krakow came to Silesia in 2019. At that time he won, among others Three times Polish championship (2021, 2023, 2024), Polish Cup (2025) and Super Cup (2021, 2022).
It will therefore be very sentimental in Łódź. In addition to the Fornal, with the club from Jastrzębie-Zdrój, apart from the season, they are also to say goodbye to, among others Libero Jakub Popiwczak or middle Norbert Huber. JSW Jastrzębski in the 2025/26 season will be a completely new story.
