Polish volleyball players will start competing in the intercontinental tournament in Chicago on Wednesday (July 15). All as part of the Nations League competition.
It must be openly admitted that the last intercontinental tournament, VNL 2026, with the participation of Polish volleyball players, promises to be really solid. To start with, there will be a clash with the world runners-up – Bulgarians.

Coach Nikola Grbic took the best possible squad to the United States. The German national team experienced the strength of this squad first-hand. In a recent friendly match played in Olsztyn. The Poles won very confidently 3:1.
Now, however, the stakes will be more serious, not in the social version. What did one of the national team leaders, Tomasz Fornal, have to say before the Poland-Bulgaria match?
– We certainly know that Bulgaria’s game is based on the older brother, Nikolov, as the receiver. The key to defeating them will certainly be stopping this volleyball player. Limiting it, we need to focus on that. But if we play as best we can, we have to think more about our own game than about the opponent, admitted the player from coach Grbic’s team.
Nations League: Where and when will the Polish national team play its next matches?
The competition in Chicago (July 15-19) will be the last intercontinental tournament in which Poles will take part.
Who will the Polish national team play against at the tournament in an exceptionally “Polish” city on the map of the United States? The set of teams promises to be very interesting indeed. Poland will start playing in the USA with the above-mentioned match against the world runners-up, Bulgarians (July 15, Wednesday, 7:00 p.m.). Then two matches in one day (18/07, Saturday), against Brazil at 3:00, and then against the Olympic champions France from 23:00. For dessert, a clash with the hosts, USA – July 20 (Monday), again at 3:00. This match will also end the competition of Polish volleyball players in the intercontinental part of VNL 2026.
The Nations League finals will be held in Ningbo, China (July 30 – August 2).
