Thomas Thurnbichler to miss the competition in Rasnov. Important reason

Last weekend, the Summer Grand Prix competition took place in Wisła. The Poles performed solidly, but many top competitors were missing from the competition. In the general classification, the highest placed Pole is Aleksander Zniszczoł, eighth. Dawid Kubacki is in 11th place, and Jakub Wolny is 17th.

Now the competition will move to Rasnov. Thomas Thurbichler decided that in this competition he will bet on Jakub Wolny, Paweł Wąsek, Kacper Juroszek and Maciej Kot.

– It’s always nice to compete in Wisła. The competitions are very well organized here, and jumping in front of your home crowd is pure pleasure. I’m very happy with the performances of Paweł Wąsek and Kuba Wolny. We know what stage we’re at and we’re sticking to the plan – he said in the video.

Thomas Thurnbichler will not go to Rasnov

As it turns out, apart from our leaders, we will not see any Austrians in Romania.

– It will be difficult for me to go there because my partner is close to giving birth. We live in Krakow, so we are staying here. Interesting days await me and I hope that I will be able to combine it all with work. It will certainly not be easy because the rest of my family does not live in Poland and we will not have such support – said Thomas Thurnbichler, quoted by sport.pl.

Thomas Thurnbichler’s wife is Jessica Serra. This will be their second child. The Austrian’s son is five years old, and the information that his partner is pregnant was announced by the Polish national team coach in May.

The LGP competition in Rasnov is scheduled for Saturday and Sunday, September 21 and 22. The competition will start at 3:00 p.m. The leaders of the general classification of the Summer Grand Prix are Austrian Stefan Kraft and Marius Lindvik from Norway. On the lowest step of the podium is Italian Alex Insam.
