This village is perfect for relaxation. Only half an hour from the center of Warsaw
Are you looking for the perfect place to relax near Warsaw? Here is a suggestion for a one-day trip. You can go on Saturday or Sunday. Peace guaranteed.
There are many interesting places near the capital. You don’t have to look far to discover a village called Jabłonna. At first glance, it evokes positive associations. Some time ago, I had the opportunity to visit it myself and I remember that visit very well. You can take a bike trip there, riding along the Vistula River – as I did – or you can park your car and get there in about 30 minutes. The closest people to Jabłonna will be those living in the Bielański Forest, Tarchomin or Białołęka areas.
Jabłonna. An attraction near Warsaw
Jabłonna from Legionowo County is famous for its rich historical traditions, is located near forest areas and has a great recreation center. The village is great as a break from the crowded and big city. It can also be a great choice for a short surprise trip.
There are quiet, romantic alleys waiting for us there, which are perfect for walks and bike trips. The routes there are loved by fans of running and photography, among others. It is not without reason that the aforementioned areas were often used by Polish filmmakers. In the main park, we will see special boards informing us about which scenes were filmed there. The crew from “M jak miłość” and “Ojciec Mateusz” were there. There were also actors from such productions as “Stawka niż śmierć” and “Czas honoru”.
The best attractions in Jabłonna
The main attraction of Jabłonna is the white palace and park complex, the so-called Jabłonna Palace. Currently, it houses the conference center of the Polish Academy of Sciences. We can easily visit the underground part of the facility, the local park with an area of 46 hectares, or the orangery. There are even guided tours organized there.
There are restaurants at the facility, and in the summer, an ice cream or coffee stand. In the area, you can relax in the shade of green trees, rest on benches or deckchairs. This is an ideal place for families with children and seniors.
Walking through the park, you can see, among others, 50 natural monuments from English oaks to small-leaved limes or English elms. Other interesting attractions include, for example, the triumphal arch, the church of Our Lady Queen of Poland, the historic post office or the ruins of the former coach house. You can easily enter the park with a bike, and your four-legged friends are also welcome.
