A unique mushroom was found in a forest in Greater Poland. This specimen grew in a rather unusual place.
The mushroom season is in full swing, and Poles are boasting about increasingly unusual specimens of tasty forest gifts on the Internet. When going mushroom picking, it is worth following their advice and looking not only at your feet – mushrooms can be hidden everywhere, even in the air. A photo of a unique case found in the Greater Poland Voivodeship was published on the profile of the Lipka Forest District. “Mushroom on a stick!” – wrote the editorial staff of the 7 Dzień Piła news portal.

The forests of Greater Poland hide many secrets. September, October and November are the best months to discover them. Paths full of mushrooms tempt tourists who come to pick mushrooms in the early morning hours. Some people manage to find real gems that not only look delicious, but also grow in unique places or in a unique way. One such specimen was shared by an Internet user via Facebook. A photo of a bolete growing on a stick in the north-eastern part of the voivodeship appeared on the profile of the Lipka Forest District. Internet users did not hide their delight, and other specimens of unusual sizes and shapes appeared in the comments.
Not just a mushroom on a stick
This bolete is not the only one that has aroused so much interest. Internet users shared, among others: photos of a mushroom found in a pine cone, on a tree trunk and a small ring-shaped specimen. If we want to find similar treasures, it is worth starting planning a weekend trip as soon as possible. The first frosts will end the high harvest season in the second half of October. The beginning of November, depending on the weather, may be the last call to look for forest rarities loved by Poles. Later, the forest will be covered with a blanket of snow, although some mushrooms are able to survive even such difficult conditions.
