The longest passenger flight of the world
The passenger.com reports that flights on the Buenos Aires – Schanghai route are to start on December 4, 2025 and will be performed twice a week. On Mondays and Thursdays, the plane will start from Shanghai, and on Tuesdays and Fridays from Buenos Aires. Economy class ticket prices start from 1.5 thousand. American dollars (approx. PLN 6.3 thousand).
Although the journey includes one stop, it is a technical stopping in Auckland. The break will last from two to a maximum of two and a half hours, but at that time passengers will remain on board. This is why the connection is considered a direct flight (Direct), which can have one or more stops (technical, change, refueling). Non-stop flights mean no breaks. On such a long route you will also need to replace the crew. Boeing 777-300ER is equipped with special resting zones for the staff that will change.
20 hours on the plane
Until now, the flight of the Singapore Airline line from Singapore to the JFK airport in New York has been considered the longest flight in the world. The lines use Airbus A350 aircraft with an ultra -range on this route. You can buy places only in business and premium economy class.
In 2026, Qantas lines also plan to launch a long route and as part of “Project Sunrise” connect Sydney with London and New York without change, in about 20 hours. The lines describe this “plans to conquer the last air limit: direct flights from Sydney to Europe and New York.”
Industry media emphasize that long -distance flights already bring a risk such as dehydration and deep vein thrombosis – a potentially life -threatening condition caused by too long seat without movement.
