What will the Polish national team line-up look like for the match against Lithuania? It seems that coach Jan Urban may surprise with his decisions during the important clash in Kaunas.

There is no doubt that the Polish coach started his term very well. Under the leadership of coach Jan Urban, the Poles drew away with the Netherlands (1:1) and won at home against Finland (3:1).

Will Jan Urban surprise with the lineup in Kaunas? This is how Poles can play

However, in order not to waste the work previously done, Poland must add another set of points in the match against Lithuania.

What solution will Urban choose in terms of the lineup at the start in Kaunas?

– We are considering one change, apart from Nicola Zalewski, but we have no real reasons to change anything in the squad after the last qualifying matches (…) My squad is 95, or maybe only 90 percent ready. At the moment, I don’t know yet, but one of the players I watched in the match against New Zealand did really well – said the Polish coach at Saturday’s press conference.

What could this mean in practice? It seems that coach Urban may have a plan for another significant change in the starting line-up. Sebastian Szymański may pay for his poorer form in the competition against New Zealand a few days ago. Karol Świderski may take his place behind Robert Lewandowski. “Świder” made a good change in Chorzów, and his cooperation with “Lewy” looks good.

Another alternative may be to choose Bartosz Kapustka, in the context of this additional change compared to what the Polish coach originally had in mind. It seems that Michał Skóraś should be sure of his place in place of the injured Nicola Zalewski.

Probable composition of the Polish national team for the match against Lithuania:

Łukasz Skorupski – Przemysław Wiśniewski, Jan Bednarek, Jakub Kiwior – Matty Cash, Bartosz Slisz, Piotr Zieliński, Michał Skóraś – Karol Świderski, Jakub Kamiński – Robert Lewandowski.
