This is how the fans treated Tusk at the Poles’ match. PiS delighted

Donald Tusk i premier Litwy Inga Ruginiene

Donald Tusk was targeted by fans during the Lithuania-Poland match. The attack on the prime minister clearly made PiS politicians happy.

The Polish national team defeated Lithuania 2-0 (1-0) in the qualifying match for next year’s world championship. Much more is said about the behavior of Polish fans than about the attitude of Jan Urban’s players and the events on the pitch.

Poland-Lithuania. The police intervened against the fan

Even before the match started, Lithuanian the police had to intervene against a man who, holding a red and white flag in his hand, tried to run onto the pitch. Due to his prank, the fan could not watch the match because he was escorted out of the Kaunas stadium.

The services were also put on alert when several flares flew from the sector occupied by Poles during “Mazurek Dąbrowski”. This time, however, there was no need to take any action because the smoke from the flares was not particularly intense.

Fans attack on Donald Tusk during the Poland-Lithuania match

Donald Tusk watched the Polish players’ struggles from the stands. The Prime Minister received an invitation to the match from the head of the Lithuanian government, Inga Ruginiene. The politician sat in the honorary box in the company of, among others, government spokesman Adam Szłapka and president of the Polish Football Association, Cezary Kulesza.

Donald Tusk’s presence in the stands was used by fans for political demonstrations. Already in the fourth minute, you could hear from the stands: “Donald, you bastard, your government will be overthrown by hooligans.” This chant became popular before Euro 2012, when the then Prime Minister announced stricter regulations against fans.

Later in the match, vulgar slogans were uttered against the head of the Polish government. What’s more, just before the break, the fans of the red and white team displayed a scandalous banner. There was an inscription on it: “You are not, you were not, you will not be a fan of the Polish national team” and a modified face of Donald Tusk with, among others, with the German flag on his forehead.

Fans attacked Tusk. PiS does not hide its joy

The behavior of Polish fans made PiS politicians euphoric. Posts appeared on social media, including: Piotr Gliński and Sebastian Kaleta, who did not hide their joy at insulting the Prime Minister of Poland at the stadium in Kaunas.

He also commented on the matter Przemysław Czarnek. In an interview with Radio Republika, the former head of the Ministry of National Education said that “it was spectacular.” – It’s hard not to be confused, but at least the Prime Minister of Lithuania saw how Polish society treats the Prime Minister who has been destroying Poland, including Polish sport, for two years – said the PiS politician.

– First of all, it was not about sports, but about everything that happened in the last less than two years of Donald Tusk’s rule – he added.

In turn, according to Marcin Przydacz “it is clear that Donald Tusk is not welcome among fans, or really ordinary people.”

– Donald Tusk has become alienated, he is a representative of an establishment external to Poland and I think this has been expressed. This reminds us of 2013, when the government was about to collapse, when Donald Tusk fled to Brussels, leaving the ashes to Ewa Kopacz as the bankruptcy trustee – commented the presidential minister on wPolsce24.
