This is how much we will pay for fuel on Easter. A statement has been published
We already know how much drivers will pay for fuel on Christmas. The Ministry of Energy has published an announcement that will be valid for the next four days.
From Monday, March 30 this year. The Ministry of Energy publishes announcements specifying maximum fuel prices at stations.
Fuel prices on holidays
The latest announcement, published this morning in Monitor Polski, shows that in the coming days (from Saturday, April 4 to Tuesday, April 7), the rates for individual fuels will be:
-
unleaded petrol Pb95: PLN 6.21 per liter
-
unleaded petrol Pb98: PLN 6.82 per liter
-
diesel oil: PLN 7.87 per liter.
Let us remind you that the maximum fuel prices applicable today (April 3) are:
-
unleaded petrol Pb95: PLN 6.19 per liter
-
unleaded petrol Pb98: PLN 6.80 per liter
-
diesel oil: PLN 7.64 per liter.
Last Thursday, the government adopted a package called “Fuel Prices Lower” (CPN), which includes, among other things, reduction of the VAT rate on fuels from 23%. up to 8%, a reduction in excise duty to the minimum EU levels (by PLN 29/l for petrol and PLN 28/l for diesel), as well as the introduction of a maximum retail price for fuels. It will be valid until the end of June. A week ago, the package was adopted by parliamentarians and then signed by President Karol Nawrocki.
The new regulations oblige fuel sellers to charge prices no higher than the announced limits. Exceeding the maximum price will result in a penalty of up to PLN 1 million. Inspections in this respect will be carried out by the National Tax Administration.
The maximum price is set according to a specific formula. It takes into account the average wholesale price of fuels on the domestic market, to which are added, among others, excise duty, fuel fee, sales margin of PLN 0.30 per liter and VAT.
The maximum price announced by the Minister of Energy is valid from the day following its publication in Monitor Polski. If it is announced before non-working days and holidays – as was the case today – the rate will apply until the next business day.
