This European country has beaches in Spain. Tourists don’t come here for holidays

Plaża Porthcurno Beach w Wielkiej Brytanii

Where are the most beautiful beaches in Europe? Few tourists would choose this underrated country.

We should look for beautiful beaches not only in southern Europe. When looking at photos from Porthcurno Beach or Man O’War Beach, you might think that the tourists relaxing on the white sand are in Spain. However, this is in fact the landscape of England – one of the most underrated countries, which is not usually associated with summer holidays. Meanwhile, thanks to cheap flights, we can get from Poland to London for pennies, then take a train and a few hours later admire spectacular cliffs, rock arches and crystal clear water.

Great Britain has beaches straight from catalogues

While the British fly en masse to Spain for their holidays, the English and Welsh coasts are no different from the charming resorts on the Iberian Peninsula. So if so far you have only visited the largest cities in Great Britain, it’s high time to change that. Just about 3.5 hours by train from London will take you to the charming Man O’War Beach in Dorset. It is an intimate beach hidden among high, bright cliffs, which delights with its peace and perfect swimming conditions (if the weather permits). Right next to it is one of the most recognizable symbols of the entire English coast – the natural rock arch Durdle Door. A slightly further, but extremely picturesque option is Porthcurno Beach in Cornwall – the journey from the capital takes about five hours.

Discover the magic of Brighton

For those who prefer shorter trips, a great alternative is Brighton – a lively seaside city located an hour away from London, which, due to its entertainment character, could be compared to Sopot. You don’t come here just to sunbathe, but to take advantage of the city’s rich culture and eat the best food fish and chips or walk along the famous Palace Pier.
