Soon the castle in Rytro will be closed due to reconstruction work. I am talking about a monument located in a small village located in the Lesser Poland Voivodeship, in the Nowy Sącz poviat. Although the attraction is not as famous as Krakow’s Wawel also has its fans and attracts them at various periods of the year. The upcoming spring will have to be forgotten.
The castle in Rytro will be closed
The aforementioned castle is considered to be the tourist pearl of Lesser Poland. It is located on a charming hill above the Poprad Valley and presents very impressive. In the case of such large facilities, renovation works are necessary from time to time. Those in Rytro are to start in May and take a long time, as reported by Gazeta Krakowska Jan Kotarba, head of the Rytro commune. Thanks to the reconstruction work, local attractions are to be even more beautiful, but before we start admiring them, you will have to wait.
It is known that a contract has already been signed for the first stage of work with Budmex. It will include the design and extension of the tower, its roofing and lighting. The entire investment will amount to PLN 1 million. The expected completion date is the end of 2025.

Until now, the castle in Rytro was visited by crowds of tourists who admired the views from the terrace. On the spot we will find a lot of greenery and hills. What is known about him? It is estimated that it was built at the turn of the 13th and 14th centuries, and some suggested even earlier eras. It is known that around the 16th century it fell into ruin. Ultimately, the ruins of the tower and the remains of the wall have survived.
Legends say that a valuable treasure is hidden under the castle, which is guarded by a dog about the character of a rooster. Another guardian of this biggest attraction is to be a terrible ghost.
Everyone who wants to see the castle in Rytro before renovation should do it in the coming weeks. It is easy to reach, among others from the city of Nowy Sącz. There is a parking lot in the area, from which atmospheric paths lead to the castle. The facility is open for 24 hours, and admission to the place is free.
Being in the area, you can also take advantage of other attractions, including Tourist routes leading to the tops of the Beskid Sądecki, Hill of Połom, Municipal Ecological Park or Ryterski Ski Station.
