New attraction of the Museum of Narrative Art

The Lucas Museum of Narrative Art, a place whose idea was created by the creator of “Star Wars”, will delight tourists right from the outside. The building’s white walls and its shape resemble a spaceship or other element alien to our planet. Some may think it looks like an impressive flying saucer from UFO stories. Moreover, the facility is surrounded by a monumental park and garden.

Inside the museum you will find not only references to Lucas’s iconic films, but also to other artists and their works. These will include, among others: Frida Kahlo, Vincent van Gogh and Banksy. The art of narrative is to be important: from paintings to comics, film and street art.

“The museum was created to honor the stories of humanity and the artists who gave them visual form. They did more than just create images. They connected our imagination with ancient emotions and shared beliefs that build community. They deserve a place in the museum,” explained George Lucas.

In total, we will see over 30 galleries, two cinemas, a library and the George Lucas archive, where conceptual designs, costumes, props and documentation related to the director’s productions are kept. “Star Wars” fans will be most delighted with the “Star Wars in Motion” exhibition, which will feature vehicles and elements from the first six parts of the film saga.

The opening of the Lucas Museum of Narrative Art in California is an event that has been announced for 16 years. For many people who had been following the construction progress for a long time, it took an exceptionally long time, but fans did not lose hope that everything would be successful. The museum is located in a historic site, Exposition Park. A team of over 150 architects, engineers and designers worked on the building design. Interestingly, no straight lines were used in the construction.
