This action was a hit a year ago. Free coffee and trips for tourists

The capital of Denmark will reward tourists who are involved in environmental protection. This is how you can get a free boat cruise, coffee or a vegetarian meal.
Traveling with the spirit of respecting the environment can be a great idea for a holiday trip. Not for the first time the capital of Denmark, Copenhagen wants to reward tourists who will come to her by train or decide to stay longer.
Copenpay. Special prizes for tourists
“This time the action is three times larger and lasts twice as long,” we read. From June 17 to August 17, there are many attractions for guests – free or with a discount, provided they do something good for the environment. How does it work?
We enter the website visitcopenhagen.com/copenpay and there we choose our gesture for the environment, e.g. coming to the city by train, bike or longer stay in the city (at least 4 nights in hotels from the list). Among the more demanding actions is, for example, collecting garbage or planting plants. Then on the map there are places where we will use free services – e.g. bicycle rental, free coffee or a free guide trip. All rules are described in detail after choosing the activity we are interested in.
The requirements are different – to take advantage of the free sauna hour you have to come to Copenhagen from any country south of Denmark, e.g. from Germany. For a longer stay in the city there are trips around the Christianshavn districts (Tuesdays) or Nørrebro (Thursday) at a price of 20 euros instead of 40.
“Last year, 500 people took advantage of our offer of a free boat trip in exchange for collecting garbage in the waters of the port. We were not even able to satisfy demand,” said AFP agency representative of Goboat, Mads Pilegaard Sander.
What attractions will we visit with a discount?
The organizers notice that most of the Copenhagen visiting them spend only three days in it. “Spending extra time here, you will reduce your trail and you will have the chance to discover hidden pearls that most visitors omit” – they encourage.
Last year, 75,000 took part in the action. tourists.
