They saved a deer near Jelenia Góra. They appeal to report any similar situation
A young deer stepped onto a frozen body of water and needed help to get back to land. Firefighters from Jelenia Góra helped him.
Low temperatures can lead to situations that we have not encountered for a long time, or sometimes even at all. He found himself in a difficult situation, among others: a young deer that may have never had the opportunity to step onto a frozen pond or lake before.

Residents near Jelenia Góra reported to the services that the animal was stuck on the ice cover of the reservoir in Sosnówka and was unable to return to the shore on its own. Firefighters from the Volunteer Fire Department KSRG Podgórzyn and the water and diving group of the Municipal Police Headquarters in Jelenia Góra rushed to help him.
Together they managed to get the large animal ashore and gave it to a veterinarian. The specialist will now determine the deer’s health condition and whether it can immediately return to its natural habitat. In connection with this incident, the services appealed to residents to report any similar situation. Animals can go out on thin ice and then spend many hours in fear on crumbling floes, or fall into very cold water.
