If you want to go on a non-obvious trip to Pomerania, it is worth moving a little away from the Baltic Sea. An ideal region to visit in the area is Bory Tucholskie – one of the largest and cleanest forest complexes in Poland. It is a vast area in the basin of the Brda and Wda rivers, the Tuchola Plain and the Charzykowska Plain, with an area of 300,000 hectares. Chojnice is the largest city in this region, where tourists come to walk around the Old Town and admire the Człuchowska Gate. The historic center with its market square is of key importance for tourists here. The narrow streets and monuments dedicated to the art and history of the city, e.g. the Tuchola Forest Museum, also add charm. It is also worth visiting the walls of the Teutonic castle in nearby Człuchów. Nevertheless, it is worth remembering that the region is primarily a national park, forests, areas for walking and practicing sports.
