Action Dutch Dutch discount store ended 2024 with a high increase in sales. The results are impressive.
Net revenues increased by 21.7 percent, reaching EUR 13.8 billion. The main factor driving the growth was the increased customer interest-comparable sales (Like-for-Line) increased by 10.3 percent.
More customers, more stores. Simple Action strategy for success
Last year, the network opened a total of 352 new stores, ending the year with 2,918 locations in 12 European countries. Thanks to this, an average of 18.7 million customers visited an average of an average of 3.4 million compared to 2023.
Low price policy and a larger sales volume
In the fourth quarter of 2024, Action reduced the prices of over 650 products, which attracted even more customers. The entire increase in sales in 2024 resulted from the increase in shopping volume, which confirms the effectiveness of the low price model.
Expansion to new markets
The development plan for 2025 includes expansion to two new markets. In the spring, Action will debut in Switzerland – both in German -speaking and French -speaking regions. In autumn, the first Action store will also appear in Romania.

The dynamic development of the network has contributed to the increase in employment. In 2024, Action created 10,641 new jobs, and total employment increased to 79,681 employees representing 151 nationalities. In addition, 3,507 employees were promoted to higher positions.

The Action non -food discount chain debuted on the Polish market on October 12, 2017, opening its first store in Leszno (Greater Poland Voivodeship). The first own distribution center in Poland was opened in turn at the end of 2019. It took place in the village of Dług, at the A4 motorway in Lower Silesia. By the end of 2024, Action reached about 300 stores in our country. In 2025, the network is planning further expansion, opening about 70 new Polish facilities.
