These words of Adam Małysz say everything. Court over Thurnbichler

Adam Małysz

The World Championships in Trondheim do not form the Polish ski jumpers. Will Thomas Thurnbichler keep his job? Adam Małysz spoke.

I must admit that in recent weeks, when the president of the Polish Ski Association spoke in the media, it ended … differently. Example? Strong grinding, which eventually led to the resignation of the position in PZN by the experienced trainer Alexander Stoeckel.

Adam Małysz about the future of Thurnbichler. Significant words of the president of PZN

Looking at the ongoing World Championships in Norwegian Trondheim, a reasonable question arises, how can you summarize the performances of the Polish ski jumpers – in the most important event of the season? For now, i.e. after the Thursday team competition (sixth place of Poles, the worst of 2007), there is no reason to optimism.

Damian Michałowski, TVN journalist, on platform X released a fragment of the conversation with the president of Małysz, where the question was asked about the future of the Poles’ trainer. Will Thomas Thurnbichler remain in the position? Will the Saturday individual competition on a large hill will be a “judicial day” for the Austrian?

– I don’t know (laughs). I will honestly say that he and us certainly. I would not like such a scenario for sure. The more that there is a very difficult season. The next season is the Olympic season. So all, any changes, will also bring any problems. I think that the Management Board is very much wondering what to do about it (…) what to do next, whether we are going in this direction, that we give Thomas a hundred percent trust, a free hand, whether we start doing something in this direction, so that there is a success at the games. Unless Thomas actually introduces us to such a script that will suit everyone and also players – admitted the president of PZN in an interview for TVN.
