Czech can boast of the award Sir Praguelocated in a historic building in the center of Prague. In 2026, it received one of the most important awards, Prix Versailles, awarded jointly with UNESCO – the facility took third place. The world list includes a total of seven European facilities, including one from Germany.

One of the most beautiful hotels in the world

Sir Prague is a boutique hotel located in the former headquarters of the Ministry of Coal from 1884. It combines modern design with traditional structure. The interiors are characterized by minimalist aesthetics, clean lines and natural materials – they include, among others: warm lighting, but also antique metal details.

This hotel, like every other awarded in the competition, was appreciated for the so-called a new form of hospitality. It is about combining innovation with local identity to show how architecture and design can shape travel experiences.

Other most beautiful hotels from Europe

Apart from the Czech gem, the list of the most beautiful hotels in the world also includes such European facilities as:

Chiemgauhof Lakeside Retreat in Bavaria – it is modern and has been operating in the Übersee commune only since 2025. At first glance, the unique architecture attracts attention – it is inspired by barns typical of this region. The building blends into the surrounding nature and at night offers delicate lighting that resembles a Japanese lantern. According to Prix Versailles, this solution prevents the facility from polluting the landscape with light. This facility was listed just after the Czech hotel.

Additionally, such European hotels were appreciated: La Fondation in the 17th district of Paris, Les Roches – Le Lavandou, France, the Croatian Villa Dubrovnik, Orient Express La Minerva in Rome, Splendido, A Belmond Hotel in Portofino.

First and second place in the competition went to: Arcadia Place and The Silk Lakehouse – both in China.
