In the coming week, the government will have to present to social partners from the Social Dialogue Council a decision on the amount of the minimum wage in 2026. The deadline goes on June 15, but for the now in the government in this matter the dispute.

As we have already informed, the Ministry of Family, Labor and Social Policy proposed that the lowest domestic would increase by 7.6 percent next year. – from the current PLN 4,666 to PLN 5020 gross. This proposal was a big surprise, because the amount offered is higher than the trade unionists expected (PLN 5015 gross).

The Ministry of Finance is skeptical about this idea, indicating that in recent years the minimum wage has gone up strongly, and the increase in the labor department will increase small and medium -sized enterprises. The Thursday meeting of the permanent committee did not bring a breakthrough in this matter.

The Minister of Finance Andrzej Domański at Polsat News said about how much the minimum wage should be next year. – The minimum wage could increase to PLN 4,806 – He proposed the head of the Ministry of Finance, emphasizing that the lowest salary in such an amount should compensate for the expected 3 % inflation.

The proposal of the Ministry of Finance is 214 PLN lower than that proposed by the Ministry of Family, Labor and Social Policy. Referring to this proposal, Domański announced that the government intends to conduct an in -depth discussion, taking into account both the expectations of employees and the needs of employers. According to the minister, this issue requires cool analysis to avoid excessive burden of companies while taking care of the purchasing power of people with the lowest earnings.
