There was a “violation of Polish airspace”. Urgent conference of military commanders
General Wiesław Kukuła press conference. The Chief of the General Staff of the Polish Army announced that the airspace over Poland was “violated”.
On Thursday, General Kukuła told about the incident that took place last night (from 3-4 September). It was, among others Reaction to media reports about the possible “violation of Polish airspace”. He confirmed that such an event had actually occurred – and twice.
There was no consequences – everything took place “under full control” of the army – as the head of the SGWP pointed out. At a press conference in Warsaw, there was also Minister of National Defense-Władysław Kosiniak-Kamysz.

A representative of the army at the conference referred to the explosion in Osiny (in the Lublin region). Recall – one August night in the aforementioned town there was a loud bang. The local police were notified, which immediately went to the indicated location and found there metal and plastic elements of an unknown object. One of the outbuildings was damaged (windows and door damage occurred).
Gen. Kukuła stated that from this incident the army “drew good conclusions”. To “defend the sky”, “significant, additional funds” in the Polish armed forces were called at night. It comes, among others for a multi-purpose F-35 aircraft that was used in the operation.
Drones “did not cause any damage”
The Chief of the General Staff also thanked the “Dutch equivalent”, including “pilots – for their” contribution to the defense of the Polish sky “on Wednesday night to Thursday. The website news.gazeta.pl reminds that from September Dutch fighters have been involved in help in this area.
The SGWP representative also announced that “drones left Poland.” “They didn’t cause any damage,” he pointed out. More information about the operation is not open.
