There is a decision on the future of Kamil Stoch. Thomas Thurnbichler discovered cards

Kamil Stoch

Kamil Stoch and Maciej Kot join, and Piotr Żyła – is outside the Polish national team. This is what the decisions look like in the context of RAW Air from Thurnbichler.

It got very loud about ski jumping in the last several hours, while ending the World Cup in classic skiing. The plaintiff was unfortunately not very glorious, because the manipulations of the hosts and Norwegians came to light, in the context of jumpers’ overalls. There was also a disqualification of two Norwegian jumpers, but the whole story will certainly have its continuation.

Kamil Stoch and Maciej Kot return to the team. Piotr Żyła

Regardless of the future of the Norwegian team, the World Cup in ski jumping continues. Coach Thomas Thurnbichler has just decided who will represent Poland during the next competition. In the calendar it will be RAW Air (13-16 March), i.e. a cycle that will be played on the hills in Oslo and Vikersund. So again Norway, where there will undoubtedly be quite a “heavy” atmosphere after the slip-up team of jumpers and their training and organizational staff.

“Thomas Thurnbichler chose the Polish national team for RAW Air competitions. Maciej Kot and Kamil Stoch join the team, “we read in a short, Sunday communication from the Polish Ski Association.

During RAW AIR, therefore, apart from the aforementioned Stoch and Cat, the team leader Paweł Wąsek, Dawid Kubacki, Jakub Wolny and Aleksander Znamczoł. Piotr Żyła fell out of the team against the World Championships 2025. “Wiewiór” in Trondheim presented himself only once, somehow “ex officio”, unsuccessfully trying to defend the title of World Champion from 2023 from the competition at a normal facility.

Let’s add that the RAW Air cycle has been organized since 2017. Twice – in 2018 and 2020 – Stoch triumphed in it.

World Cup 2025: The Polish national team without a medal left Trondheim

Poland will not remember what happened during this year’s Classical Ski World Championships. For the last time the Polish team returned home without any album in 2005. The jumpers did not stand on the podium four years later (2009), but then Matters into their own hands, or rather skis, were taken by Justyna Kowalczyk.

Unfortunately, during the World Cup 2025 there was no leader or leader who could reach for any medal for Poland. Paweł Wąsek was the best, 10th place during the competition at a normal facility. Plus the Gentlemen Team Competition, jumpers in sixth position. Although this is still … the worst performance, a place except for five four ski jumpers from Poland to the World Championships for two decades.
