There is a decision of the Sejm regarding health contributions. The changes will cover 2.5 million people
The Sejm today passed a reduction in the health premium for entrepreneurs. It is estimated that about 2.5 million people will benefit from changes.
MPs voted on Friday on the government’s bill that reduces the health premium for entrepreneurs. The changes were supported by 213 deputies, 190 was against and 25 abstained. It is no secret that there was no consent in this matter among the coalition. The left did not hide her opposition.

– Today we are introducing a solution on which 2.5 million Polish entrepreneurs, these small, small and medium -sized ones – finance minister Andrzej Domański said before voting.
The head of the Ministry of Finance emphasized that “the entire costs associated with this solution will be covered by the state budget, the National Health Fund will not bear any consequences of the solution introduced today.”
The changes are to be used primarily by people conducting sole proprietorships, depending on the type of taxation. The health contribution to a certain level is to be a flat -rate, and from the surplus of income percentage.
The project assumes that the flat -rate part of the health contribution will be 9 percent. from 75 percent minimum remuneration for work. In turn, the second part is to be calculated on the surplus of income above 1.5 times the average monthly salary with entrepreneurs who settle accounts for a tax scale or flat tax (here the rate is 4.9 percent).
The calculations, which was carried out for “Fakt” Piotr Juszczyk, an Infakt tax advisor, shows that with a monthly income of up to PLN 3,499.50 the health contribution will not change. With an income of up to PLN 12,823.77, entrepreneurs will gain PLN 839.18. The same profit after changes will be in the case of income over 20 thousand. zloty.
In the case of a health contribution on a flat tax with an income of up to 60 thousand. PLN at changes in the amount of the profit contribution will amount to PLN 146.70. You can have the highest profit when the monthly income is from 300 to 307 770.48 PLN. In these forks you can gain up to PLN 1,070.01.
Changes in the health premium would cost the state budget PLN 4.6 billion. The regulations are to be effective from next year.
