Changes in holiday prices in Zakopane are unprecedented in the last dozen or so years. We have good news for tourists.

According to “Gazeta Krakowska”, the current one strategy of many entrepreneurs in Podhalebased on the rich wallets of guests from the Arabian Peninsula, must be subject to serious adjustments – in relation to the current international situation. Due to the conflict in the Middle East, the number of bookings from that direction has dropped significantly. This, in turn, means that the owners of various facilities must take into account that fewer tourists will visit them, and that they must focus on fighting for customers from Poland and Western Europe.

Have you never had such a cheap holiday in Zakopane? “As if against all odds”

Dariusz Galica, who regularly cooperates with hotels and guesthouses, believes that the current price changes are unprecedented in the last 15 years. – It is worth considering coming to Zakopane at the beginning of the holidays, or possibly the last week of August, because then the prices are the most attractive. However, if someone can take a vacation, for example in June, then they will take advantage of great off-season offers – he says in an interview with “Gazeta Krakowska”. As he points out, the price drop in May and June – compared to 2025 – is up to 30%.

– In many places, prices of services have gone up, and prices in Zakopane, as if against all odds, have gone down – emphasizes Galica.

Decreasing rates can be seen, for example, in the offer of detached houses and apartments chosen by families from Arab countries. – Over the last few years, since the pandemic, the number of houses in Podhale has increased by 300%, so owners here are naturally most affected by price competition. At the moment, these prices are very close to large apartments. If we are talking about a large apartment that is rented for PLN 500 per day, a house often costs, for example, PLN 600 – says Emilia Glista from the Joint System agency. As he adds, the lack of tourists from the Middle East means vacancies in top-shelf facilities, whose owners will change prices to suit the “European wallet”.
