Thousands of pandas in Hong Kong

Big PANDA GO party! FEST HK will take place in Hong Kong this Saturday. We will see an installation consisting of a thousand pandas in various locations. As part of the event’s inaugural ceremony, animal figurines were placed at the airport. During the weekend, they will be on the Walk of Fame in the popular tourist district of Tsim Sha Tsui, and then, after a month, in three other places – one of them will be Ocean Park, where real animals live every day. Pandas are there to greet locals and tourists. As they are loved there, very positive reception and enthusiasm are guaranteed.

Pandas have always played an important role in China, and since two new individuals arrived at one of the Ocean Park zoos, many people have become even more crazy about them.

During the weekend, the audience will watch, among others: sculptures inspired by the image of Ying Ying panda children. Images of these animals are seen every day in shops and city centers. You can buy special thematic souvenirs there, and soon you will also be able to take part in the largest exhibition dedicated to them.

Thanks to pandas, China gains very good promotion and can count on the support and sympathy of stars from all over the world. The organizer of the exhibition invited Pharrell Williams himself to design animal sculptures, and his works will be available for purchase at online auctions. The campaign also has a charitable purpose, as the money is intended to help real giant pandas living in the zoo.

Although pandas are unofficially the symbol of China, no one disputes that they are of great importance to the country. Beijing has often sent its animals to zoos abroad, treating it as an element of soft diplomacy. Today, it is very important for Hong Kong to have a good position in the tourism market, and the pandas are intended to help the city with this.
