On Thursday, the Central Statistical Office (GUS) presented data on the average gross salary in July this year. in the enterprise sector. It turns out that in the previous month the average wage was PLN 8,905.63 gross, which means an increase of 7.6 percent. compared to July 2024.

In July, the average monthly gross salary in the enterprise sector increased nominally compared to the previous month by 0.3 percent, which means that Poles not only earned in July more than a year ago, but also a little more than in June.
It is worth noting, however, that today’s wage growth data is slightly lower than the economists expected (market consensus was 8.6 percent).
The office reminds that at the beginning of this year the minimum wage increased to PLN 4,666 gross, i.e. by 8.5 percent. relative to the last increase made in July last year (in 2024 – in connection with high inflation – the minimum wage increased twice a year), which had an impact on changes in the average gross monthly salary in the enterprise sector.
The average monthly gross salary in the enterprise sector includes basic salary and additional wages of remuneration, including bonuses, awards, remuneration for overtime work and retirement severance pay.
GUS also announced today that in July this year. The average employment in the enterprise sector amounted to 6431.8 thousand. full -time jobs and it was 0.9 percent lower than a year ago and 0.1 percent lower than in June this year.
It should be recalled that the data presented by the Central Statistical Office relate to entities of the enterprise sector, which is part of the national economy. This sector includes entities employing at least ten employees (they cover about 40 percent of all working in the Polish economy).
