Data presented by the Central Statistical Office show that the category of fuel and lubricants for private means of transport had the greatest impact on the May reading, which increased by 12.3% last month. more expensive than a year earlier. Compared to April, there was a decline in this category by 0.1%.

In the electricity, gas and other fuels category, there was an increase of 5%. year to year (on a monthly basis, there were no changes this time). In turn, prices of food and non-alcoholic beverages increased by 0.5%. year to year (month to month there was a decrease of 0.1%).

The final data on consumer inflation for May will be released in the first half of next month.
