There are more and more reports on the mushroom map. However, a certain problem was revealed in the forests
More and more mushrooms are starting to appear in Polish forests. However, recent high temperatures have had a negative impact on their growth, which is pointed out by mushroom pickers.
The latest mushroom map showed that more and more of them appear in many places in Poland. Currently, most of them include: near Chojnice and Łeba. A significant number of specimens were also observed in the vicinity of Jarocin, Jelenia Góra and Olsztyn. Larger mushroom picking is also possible near Tarnobrzeg.
The most frequently found specimens include: chanterelles, boletes, boletes, saffron chanterelles, red chanterelles, and all boletes.
Where can you check mushrooms?
We remind you that if we have doubts about the mushrooms found, we can check them for free at local sanitary and epidemiological stations. Mushroom experts who are authorized to check fresh and dried mushrooms, as well as classifiers who evaluate only fresh specimens, assist in the recognition.
When picking mushrooms, it is also worth using special atlases. They often contain “detailed information about mushrooms, where they occur and photos of individual species”. Mobile applications may also be useful.
Reports from mushroom pickers. The effect of the heat can be seen in the forests
Many Internet users who use the gryzy.pl website drew attention to the negative effects of the recent heatwaves. High temperature hinders the growth of mushrooms in forests. “After the recent high temperatures, there are few pathogenic mushrooms, although the life of other myceliums is diverse. The basket included three ceglas, two capulets, two hornbeam boletes and some chanterelles” – said one of the Internet users from Bielsko County.
“The Masurian forests near Lake Bełdany did not disappoint me again. In addition to the pale and edible pepperpot, I came across 4 reticulated boletes, of which I took two caps, and five boletus gobies. A large number of reddening toadstools, here and there also colorful cabbage mushrooms, but the mushrooms were very dry.” – reported a user from the area. Piski.
