The world record has been broken! Space result achieved
Armand Duplantis once again broke the world record. This time, during the competition in Budapest, the Swedish pole valer jumped 6.29 m.
Interestingly, the Swedish champion will perform this Saturday in Chorzów, during Silesia Memorial Kamila Skolimowska.
Perhaps during the Polish version of the 2025 diamond league, the Swede will again decide to break the world record!
The result achieved in Budapest by Duplantis is his thirteenth world record in his career. The only 25 -year -old polewar definitely jumped over the world competition by several lengths. It is worth adding that Duplantis is a two -time Olympic champion (2021 and 2024) and a multimedist of the world and European championships, both at the open stadium and in the indoor edition.
Silesia Memorial of Kamila Skolimowska. A great holiday at the Silesian Stadium!
This Saturday (i.e. August 16) at SuperAuto.pl the Silesian Stadium will take place a great athletics festival. Again, the diamond league will come to Poland, due to the great event of Silesia Memorial Kamila Skolimowska.
During the Saturday event, fans at Chorzów, a thousand will be able to admire, among others A duel of sprinters in which Noah Lyles will face the 100 meters run with Kishan Thompson. There will also be the mentioned, cosmic polerz from Sweden – Armand Duplantis may try to attack the world record again.
There will also be Polish, important accents. The indoor runner -up world from Glasgow, Ewa Swoboda, will run for 100 meters. In total, the whole domestic cream will present, there will be, among others Natalia Bukowiecka, Pii Skrzyszowska, Paweł Fajdek (unfortunately without the previously announced Wojciech Nowicki, who suffered an injury and ended his start season), Jakub Szymański, Weronika Lizakowska and Anna Wielgosz.
