PZLA gave sad news. Paweł Zięba, a valued sports commentator, whose voice knew every supporter of athletics competitions.
The Polish Athletics Association gave sad news. On Saturday Paweł Zięba died on March 15long -term announcer of athletics events.
“The voice of Paweł Zięba probably knows many light -athletics supporters. He commented on the most important national events for years. He worked during countless national championships, in various age categories” – we read in a message published by PZLA.
Paweł Zięba is dead. Who was he?
In 1981 Paweł Zięba received a brown honorary badge of the Polish Athletics Association. From 1990, for over two decades, he served in the Central Sports Center in Spała Polish Championships each year.
Fans perfectly associate his voice because he could also be heard during meetings organized throughout the country. In 1999 he was a Polish -language announcer during the Junior World Championships in Bydgoszcz. Paweł Zięba was also associated with the Warsaw Polonia for many years.
Representatives of PZLA emphasized that “he was an extremely friendly man, always full of humor and kindness to others.”

The direct cause of Paweł Zięba’s death was not public. PZLA informed, however, that Paweł Zięba’s funeral ceremonies will take place on Friday, March 21 at 14:30 at the North Municipal Cemetery in Warsaw.
