The whole truth about Robert Lewandowski. This behavior went viral!
FC Barcelona will play another Champions League match on Wednesday evening. This time at the Belgian Club Brugge. Will Robert Lewandowski play?
“Lewy” returned to the pitch last weekend, playing 17 minutes against Elche. FC Barcelona won 3-1, but the Polish striker did not really shine in the little over fifteen minutes he received from coach Hansi Flick.
Champions League: Hansi Flick compliments the Pole. A unique message about RL9
The German coach of Barca knows well that having a relatively safe lead against Elche, there is no need to take unnecessary risks with regard to “Lewy’s” health.
Flick and Lewandowski appeared at the pre-match press conference before the Champions League clash in which Barcelona will play away against Club Brugge. Several interesting questions were asked of both men, but at the end the coach himself spoke, addressing the journalists present.
As it turned out, these were special words about… Lewandowski sitting next to him.
– I’m a bit surprised that I didn’t get any questions about Robert Lewandowski. We’ve been working together for four, maybe three and a half years. I admit that I have never worked with a footballer who was more professional than him. I don’t know what’s in his DNA. It’s only been three weeks since the injury, and he was supposed to be sidelined for five. And Robert is ready and with us. When he and Olmo returned to training, we reached another level, the younger players also improved. We need such players to play with our best ball, the Barcelona coach complimented the Pole.
Interestingly, it is not certain that Lewandowski will play in Barcelona’s starting lineup in Wednesday’s match in Belgium. The media is divided on this issue. Wojciech Szczęsny is certain of his place between the posts.
The Club Brugge – FC Barcelona match will take place on Wednesday (November 5), starting at 9:00 p.m. The broadcast will be available on TVP 1, TVP Sport and Canal+ Extra. Online, you can use the Canal+ Online platform, the official TVP Sport website, or the station’s specially dedicated mobile application.
Robert Lewandowski’s difficult start. “Lewy” is struggling with his health
In the case of Robert Lewandowski, the 2025/26 season is certainly full of ups and downs. On the one hand, “Lewy” continues to impress with his goalscoring instinct, even as a substitute, scoring in Barcelona’s matches. Additionally, RL9 returned to the Polish national team after a disagreement with former coach Michał Probierz, where he scored goals for the national team twice in the fall – in matches against Finland (3:1) and Lithuania (2:0).
On the other hand, in the case of Lewandowski, there are many opinions that years of playing at the highest level are reflected, most often always and everywhere, i.e. without saving. Already at the end of the 2024/25 campaign, the Polish striker suffered a thigh injury, which excluded him from important moments for Barca. The situation repeated itself in the second part of the Spanish champions’ preparation period, which resulted in coach Flick finally putting the Pole on the bench.
Another injury – let’s hope it’s the last one – is already recent history, i.e. the situation after the October international break. After the match in Kaunas, where the Poles won three points against the Lithuanians, Lewandowski reached the capital of Catalonia with an injured left thigh, again. However, RL9 managed to return to training quickly, shortening the expected recovery time from five to three weeks. The Pole certainly wants to support Barca in the fight for trophies on every front.
Let us add that Lewandowski’s contract with the Pride of Catalonia expires in June 2026. Will it be extended? The Spanish and Catalan media are competing with the latest reports regarding the future of the Polish sniper. Barca, if it thinks about continuing cooperation with RL9, has to hurry. The Pole is interested in clubs including: from Saudi Arabia (for several years) or Italian AC Milan.
