The train returned after 24 years. Thousands of passengers have already used

For over a month, passengers can use the new connection of the Silesian Railways. The train on the section Tychy-Alaksze Jaśkowice returned after 24 years. Although this is not a typical tourist route, passengers are delighted. According to a spokesman for the regional carrier, the connection is very popular. “In the first month, nearly 7.7,000 passengers benefited from the new S74 line,” writes the local government portal.

Passengers waited for this train almost a quarter of a century

After years of local government struggle, the railway connection between Tychy and Orzesz Jaśkowice was finally restored. From June 15, a total of five stations (next to the mentioned are also Wyry, Łaziska Medium and Orzesze Miasto) used almost eight thousand passengers. According to the spokesman for Railways, this is a very good result that can still improve. “From September, the turnout will increase, especially among students commuting to high schools in Tychy,” we read. This railway line was renovated ten years ago, but the trains did not use it.

Tourist trains are also coming back

This year, tourists also have more reasons for the joy of railways. I am talking primarily about a train from Jelenia Góra to Karpacz, which passengers also waited for over two decades. Until now, travelers going to the most famous resort in the Giant Mountains had to use a car or buses.

There are also plans to launch warehouses to the most popular Polish spa. Direct trains to Ciechocinek will be available to patients in December. It is worth using the journeys in winter, because the price of tickets will be really attractive. During the first two months of the connection, passengers will pay only a symbolic zloty.
