The train from Warsaw to Croatia will set off soon. Passengers rub their hands

On Friday, June 27, the first train of a new connection will start – from Warsaw to Croatian Rijeka. The journey will last almost 20 hours, which, however, did not discourage the travelers.

Tomorrow, on Friday, June 27, a new tourist railway connection is starting. PKP Intercity launches a connection from Warsaw to Rijeka, Croatia.

The carrier announced that the train will run four times a week – on Tuesdays, Thursdays, Fridays and Sundays. Rijeka from Warsaw will connect the course the other way – on Mondays, funds, Fridays and Sundays.

Croatia goal from Poland. A new way to get there from Friday

Croatia is one of the most popular directions for Polish tourists. The number of visitors from our country is growing every year. According to Evisitor’s data, from January 1 to December 31, 2024, over 1.15 million guests from Poland came to Croatia. Poles were in fourth place in terms of the number of tourists in Croatia. There were Germans, Slovenes and Austrians on the podium.

Starting a railway connection can expand the market for tourists who avoid traveling by plane. He can also attract people for whom a 19-hour train journey appears as an interesting adventure.

The new connection has become a sales hit. During the first 2 hours of sale 40 percent places on the train were reserved. Travelers had a choice of couches and places in the second grade.

Warsaw-Rijeka train. Are there still tickets?

The first Adriatic Express will leave the Warsaw Wschodnia station on Friday, June 27 at 13:44. According to the timetable, travelers will reach Rijeka on Saturday, a few minutes after 10.

Less than a day before departure tickets are still available. In the non -returnable offer, the ticket was valued at 79.90 euros (almost 350 PLN).

For comparison, a flight from Warsaw to Croatia lasts about two hours without transfers. When buying a ticket in advance, the cheapest can be found for July for about PLN 650.
