The time change will affect PKP passengers. These trains will stop for an hour

On the night of October 25-26 there will be a change from summer to winter time. This will cause some complications in the PKP train timetable, which is why the company has provided a helpful timetable for passengers.

The change to winter time is traditionally scheduled for the last weekend of October, on the night from Saturday to Sunday.

Time change and complications in the railway timetable

“This year, the change will affect the operation of 13 PKP Intercity trains, which will run that night according to a special timetable assuming an hour’s stop. The change will not cause any delays, and passengers will reach the destination station as planned,” we learn from the statement of the Polish State Railways.

As announced, the time change will affect the following trains:

  • IC 56006 Baltic Express rel. Gdynia Gł. – Praha hl. n.; stop at the Poznań Gł. station from 2:50 a.m. summer time, departure at 2:55 a.m. winter time;

  • IC 65006 Baltic Express rel. Prague hl. n. – Gdynia Gł.; stop at the Inowrocław station from 2:40 a.m. summer time, departure at 2:41 a.m. winter time;

  • IC 16190 Karkonosze rel. Warsaw East – Szklarska Poręba Górna; stop at the Ostrów Wielkopolski station from 2:42 summer time, departure at 2:43 winter time;

  • IC 61190 Karkonosze rel. Szklarska Poręba Górna – Warsaw East; stop at Pabianice station from 2:52 summer time, departure at 2:54 winter time;

  • TLK 35170 Carpathians rel. Zakopane – Gdynia Gł.; stop at the Częstochowa station from 1:52 a.m. summer time, departure at 2:04 a.m. winter time;

  • TLK 53170 Carpathians rel. Gdynia Gł. – Zakopane; stop at the Częstochowa station from 1:44 a.m. summer time, departure at 2:18 a.m. winter time.

Trains will stop for an hour at night:

  • IC 38170 Ustronie rel. Kraków Gł. – Kołobrzeg; stop at the Nowy Dwór Mazowiecki station from 2:56 a.m. summer time, departure at 2:57 a.m. winter time;

  • IC 83170 Ustronie rel. Kołobrzeg – Kraków Gł.; stop at the Nowy Dwór Mazowiecki station from 2:56 a.m. summer time, departure at 2:57 a.m. winter time;

  • IC 83172 Przemyślin rel. Świnoujście – Przemyśl Gł.; stop at the Opole Gł. station from 2.11 summer time, departure at 2.13 winter time;

  • IC 38172 Przemyślin rel. Przemyśl Gł. – Świnoujście; stop at Wrocław Gł. station from 2.10 summer time, departure at 2.40 winter time;

  • IC 18170 Usedom rel. Warszawa Wsch. – Świnoujście; stop at the Opalenica station from 2:37 a.m. summer time, departure at 2:38 a.m. winter time;

  • IC 81170 Usedom rel. Świnoujście – Warsaw East; stop at the Nowy Tomyśl station from 2.28 am summer time, departure at 2.29 am winter time;

  • IC 85108 Stańczyk rel. Szczecin Gł. – Olsztyn Gł.; stop at the Szczecin Gł. station from 2.54 am summer time, departure at 3.00 am winter time.

Change to winter time in 2025

On the last Sunday of October, on the night from October 25 to 26, 2025, the time will change in Poland. At 3:00 turn the clock back to 2:00, so those who do not work the night shift will be able to enjoy an additional hour of sleep.
