36-year-old surfer and influencer Giulia Manfrini has died. According to foreign media, the woman died after a swordfish attack. How did this happen?
The tragic event occurred on October 19. A 36-year-old surfer was attacked by a swordfish while swimming near the island of Pulau Masokut off the coast of Indonesia. As luck would have it, the fish stuck its sword-shaped appendage right into her chest. The 5-centimeter-deep wound turned out to be fatal for the woman.
Although the influencer managed to call for help from two nearby men and they were quickly taken to hospital, she could not be saved.

The surfer from Turin was a well-known figure not only in the sports community, but also on the Internet. Giulia Manfrini started her career in skiing and snowboarding, and in the 2006/2007 season she won the Youth Cup in snowboarding. She took up surfing because an injury prevented her from continuing snowboarding.
