The star of “Świat według Kiepskich” suffered from this disease. The problem affects many Poles

Feliks Szajnert, an actor known for his work in the series “Świat według Kiepskich” has recently been struggling with serious health problems. Every year, tens of thousands of Poles hear this diagnosis. The number of patients is constantly growing.
Feliks Szajnert gained popularity not only thanks to his appearances in “Świat według Kiepskich”. He also gained recognition from other roles. He appeared in productions such as “Kryminalni”, “07 zgłoś się” and “Miasto Skarbów”. The death of the artist was reported by the Branch of the Association of Polish Stage Artists (ZASP) in Kraków. The actor’s fans and friends believed until the end that he would be able to return to the stage. Unfortunately, the disease turned out to be stronger.
What illness did the star of “The World According to the Kiepskis” suffer from?
The direct cause of Feliks Szajnert’s death has not been made public. However, it is known that the actor suffered a stroke. It is estimated that this is one of the most common causes of death in highly developed countries. The disease usually strikes suddenly. It occurs when the vessels supplying blood to the brain tissue become closed (obstructed). As a result, brain cells die and the organ is unable to function normally. Usually, the blockage of vessels occurs in the course of atherosclerosis. Atherosclerotic plaques are deposited in the walls of the arteries and increasingly close the lumen of the vessel. Blood flow becomes very difficult, and sometimes even impossible.
What are the symptoms of a stroke?
The most common symptoms of a stroke include severe headache, loss of movement in the limbs, and significant weakness of the muscles of the face, throat, and larynx. They are often accompanied by other symptoms, such as drowsiness or vision and balance disorders. It is worth emphasizing that the nature of the symptoms can vary greatly. It depends largely on which part of the brain is “cut off” from the blood supply.
It is worth noting another very important issue – many people experience so-called micro-strokes. Their symptoms can last from a few dozen minutes to a dozen or so hours. They usually disappear spontaneously and do not cause any permanent changes in brain tissue. However, they increase the risk of a full-blown stroke, as well as a heart attack.
Diagnostics for stroke
The basic tests performed in the diagnosis of a stroke are computed tomography and magnetic resonance imaging of the head. They are often performed more than once, with an interval of several days. It is not immediately possible to determine how much of the brain has been damaged. The doctor may also order an examination of the carotid and cerebral arteries. They allow us to understand why the stroke occurred.
