Are sharks on Fuerteventura dangerous?

The nakanarach.pl portal reminds that the sharks are found relatively rarely off the coast of the Atlantic Ocean near the Canary Islands. Until 2024, six attacks were recorded on the Canary Archipelago and 13 throughout Spain since the beginning of the registers.

Sometimes the beaches are temporarily closed due to the appearance of sharks. Currently, special drones are to operate on Fuerteventura to strengthen safety, controlling the situation on the coast.
