The echo of the spot of Marcin Możdżonka, in which he supported Sławomir Mentzen, does not stop. The former volleyball player revealed how his former teammates reacted to the scandal.
The engaging of famous people – musicians, actors or athletes in the election campaign is nothing new. Sometimes, however, it can turn into a big row. He found out about it Marcin Możdżonek. The former captain of the national volleyball team and currently the head of the Supreme Hunting Council decided to reveal his political preferences and officially support Sławomir Mentzen. He explained that “he is fed up with polarization and functioning in constant conflict.”

The confederation politician did not hide his satisfaction with the support of a former athlete. “We are connected by the fact that we both have enough of the current system, we want something to finally change in Poland. I believe that thanks to the help of Marcin Możdżonka Poles will believe that impossible does not exist and can have a real impact on reality,” he wrote in social media.
However, not everyone shares the enthusiasm of Marcin Możdżonka and Sławomir Mentzen. In the election spot that went to the network, pictures with the Polish national team were used, but also the voices of commentators – Piotr Dębowski and Tomasz Swędrowski, which was not consent of TVP and Polsat. The broadcasters have already announced the relevant steps.
Możdżonek responds to the allegations after the spot with Mentzen
In response to the allegations, Marcin Możdżonek explained in an interview with RMF FM that “the spot was prepared professionally by the Confederation Committee and was previously consulted with lawyers.” “Nobody would throw himself on such deep water without checking.” However, if something is wrong, then the committee should explain it with television – he emphasized.
The former central Polish national team relied on the right of a quote, in which there is not a word about political agitation. – I told my story and I have the right to do so. I told about the time there was a time in the squad, where it was not put on us, a little was made. We rolled up our sleeves, worked hard and finally won – he argued.
Noteworthy of the RMF FM journalist that in the recording promoting Sławomir Mentzen, the image of the entire volleyball team was used, Marcin Możdżonek assured that “he does not use the representation, but his story”. – Volleyball is a team sport. Our successes are common. I could not say that I won the medals myself – he explained.
– There are no faces or names of other representatives in the spot. I don’t see any controversy here. I don’t use staff history, but my own. This cannot be taken away from me – he emphasized.
Możdżonek regrets support for Mentzen?
When asked if after the whole scandal around the spot promoting Sławomir Mentzen, former teammates, Marcin Możdżonek, said that “it was and can ensure that it was voices of support and not criticism.” – It would be abuse to reveal who I talked to. There are people with different views in the national team – he said.
Later in the conversation The former volleyball player assured that despite the votes of criticism, he does not regret to participate in the action promoting the confederation policy. – I support a specific man who has a specific vision about Poland. I would not withdraw my support only because of problems with the spot, because we know how the fits of the law is going on our country – he said.
Możdżonek will join the confederation?
Marcin Możdżonek also did not rule out that he intends to get more involved in politics in the future. – I am currently a local government official, a councilor of Olsztyn. I would like to go to the level higher, I do not rule out applying for the mandate of the MP. For this it is necessary to belong to the party, but for now it is too early for declarations whether I will enter the confederation – he concluded.
