Polish volleyball players are a phenomenon! Fight, level, victories… Polish footballers, at least when they form the national team, are bunglers. I can’t believe that the volleyball players’ competitions at the recently concluded European Championships attracted less interest than our players’ running around the pitch. They didn’t have to play “for honor” at these championships, they fought for a medal.
The way things are in this sport is that three teams (Serbia, Italy, Türkiye) reached the grandmaster level some time ago. The team that faced the powers was the Polish team. If the legendary Serbian attacker, Tijana Bošković, had had a bad day, our girls would definitely have won. Our “failure” is fourth place. Fourth.
