The Polish woman finished second at the Paris Olympics. It was a great performance!

Klaudia Zwolińska was second in the qualifying rounds in slalom kayaking on the Olympic track in the French capital.
The final of Klaudia Zwolińska’s crowning event, the K1 slalom, will take place on Sunday from 5:45 p.m. The Pole will certainly be one of the favorites for a medal. Zwolińska solidified her position during Saturday’s Olympic qualifiers. Zwolińska lost only to Australian Jessica Fox in her second run.
Paris 2024: Will Klaudia Zwolińska be the first medalist?
The Pole is one of the world’s top kayakers. In the qualifying round, she was the fastest in the first run, but she made mistakes that ultimately took four seconds off Zwolińska. Fortunately, she was flawless during the second attempt. With a time of 93.03 s, the European Champion in the K1 slalom proved that she can swim not only fast, but also without giving reasons for potential penalties for the offenses committed. Only Jessica Fox was faster than the Pole. The Australian overtook Zwolińska, starting last in the group. The Pole was very close to winning the second run.
A total of 22 competitors advanced to Sunday’s semi-finals. Before the medal fight begins, Zwolińska will have to get through the competition, which will start at 3:45 p.m. The final is scheduled for 5:45 p.m.
Victory of the Polish national volleyball team and Iga Świątek at the 2024 Olympic Games
The first day after the opening ceremony was quite successful for the Polish representatives. The volleyball players won their matches (3:0 against Egypt), and Iga Świątek also advanced to the next round. It is also worth noting that the rowers made it to the finals. They are among those who can be considered Polish hopes for an Olympic medal.
In the doubles four, Dominik Czaja, Mateusz Biskup, Mirosław Ziętarski and Fabian Barański took second place in their preliminary heat and confidently advanced to Wednesday’s medal race.
It is possible, however, that Zwolińska will reach for the first medal for Poland. She certainly has the sporting potential to do so, all that remains is to “just” swim well in Sunday’s semi-final and final.
