The Polish giant overtook Dino. These data are impressive

Sklep Lewiatan

Over 3.2 thousand stores in Poland and billions in turnover. The Polish chain overtook Dino in the number of branches.

The Lewiatan Polish Retail Network has strengthened its position on the retail market. At the end of 2025, there were already 3,286 stores operating under this brand. This is about 200 more than in the case of the Dino chain, which had 3,033 branches. Thus, Lewiatan became the largest chain in terms of the number of stores in the country in the segment up to 2,500 sq m.

Financial results

Financial results for 2025 show further growth. PSH Lewiatan’s retail turnover amounted to PLN 18.14 billion, which means an increase of 3.7%. year to year. Sales of own brand products reached PLN 1.02 billion, growing by 3.4%. The chain’s share in the segment of stores up to 2,500 sq m. increased to 8.3 percent – according to CMR data.

During the year, 279 new branches were opened, including 21 supermarkets, increasing their total number to 544. At the same time, the average area of stores in the chain increased – currently it is 200 sq m. This confirms the trend of market consolidation and strengthening of larger retail formats.

As the president of Lewiatan Holding, Robert Rekas, emphasizes, the Polish retail market is maturing and consolidating. Mainly small, unaffiliated stores are disappearing from the market, while larger formats are strengthening their position. For owners of outlets operating independently, this is the moment to decide to join a franchise network that offers support and cost optimization.

Improving profitability

Plans for 2026 focus primarily on improving the profitability of stores – both on the revenue and cost side. Operational efficiency, digitalization and building customer loyalty are to be key. The chain announces activities aimed at younger consumers and counteracting the trend of declining number of transactions. At the same time, the development of technology is intended to support improved efficiency and stability of cooperation with entrepreneurs.

The data shows that competition in retail remains strong, but Lewiatan is clearly increasing the scale of its operations. Number of stores exceeding 3.2 thousand and turnover in the billions confirm that the chain is effectively strengthening its position on a mature and consolidating market.
