Egypt

This is not a good time to travel to Egypt. The Polish embassy has issued a warning in which it asks tourists to not be outside.

For several days, Egypt has been struggling with the effects of a sand storm. Unfortunately, everything seems to indicate that the phenomenon will not give way to it. The Polish embassy in Cairo has issued a message in which he warns tourists arriving at Cairo and other cities on the occasion of the picnic. There may be disturbances in road, sea and air transport throughout the country. “Please be careful, avoid being outside and follow the recommendations of local security services,” reads information published on social media.

Sandstorm in Egypt

Extreme weather conditions, such as heat and hurricanes, can effectively spoil even the best planned holidays. Among the particularly dangerous phenomena occurring in desert and semi -argue countries, there is a sandstorm. It arises when cold polar air masses come across hot areas and loose rock materials on them, including sand and dust.

Egypt is currently measured with the effects of the sand storm. According to forecasts, the phenomenon has been intensifying since April 30 and will not go away at least until May 4. The wind in gusts reaches up to 80 kilometers per hour, raising the sand in the air and limiting visibility. Such a phenomenon can be really dangerous, for example, leading to a serious collision.

The Polish Embassy warns

The Polish embassy in Cairo decided to quickly intervene, which warned travelers from the Vistula against the consequences of vacation during a sand storm. First of all, difficulties in transport may occur on the spot (including air transport). Secondly, being outside during a sand storm can cause serious problems, including with breathing. Therefore, the Polish facility asks tourists to stay in closed rooms, as well as checking the latest messages.
