It is not yet known when he will return, but we do know how he will change. Inside, there will be a previously known collection of exotic plants and an aquarium.

The Palm House in Poznań will be transformed

The works that have started on site are the result of the reconstruction agreement signed on August 17. The metamorphosis will concern the entire complex, including: glass pavilions and technical installations, an aquarium, a café and a common space for guests. There will also be news and surprises.

The good news is that tourists and residents will have access to the renovated attraction, but the disadvantage is that the project will take several years. The first opening is scheduled for the end of 2028 – this is when some of the modernized pavilions are planned to be made available again. The work, although it may be burdensome, is necessary – the last work was carried out there in 1982-1992. In the fall and winter, the contractor will mainly work on the main entrance area, the cafeteria and the administrative area.

What will the attraction offer after opening?

Thanks to the transformation, guests of the Palm House in Poznań will have more comfortable conditions and more space. There will also be modern amenities, including for people with disabilities. The palm house’s collection will be better displayed, making the plants even more delightful than before. One of the most visible changes in this area will be the replacement of the pavilions’ glazing.

New attractions will be paths at heights. Thanks to them, we will see part of the exotic collection from a new perspective. The route will lead to an observation deck that did not exist before. It is known that, among others, an amphitheater intended for educational and recreational activities.

Poznań will allocate nearly PLN 163 million in a preferential loan from Bank Gospodarstwa Krajowego.
