The police did not react to the suffering of two dogs. A journalist from “Wprost” helped them

The Szamotuły police ignored numerous requests to intervene in the case of animal cruelty. In this situation, a journalist from our editorial office took his own action in the case of two dogs. Fortunately, everything ended well, the only question is: why did the police not react?
The Szamotuły police (Wielkopolska Province), not a private company but a uniformed service financed by citizens’ taxes, repeatedly ignored requests to intervene in the case of two dogs kept in poor conditions on a property in one of the nearby villages. Although the police officers appeared on the scene after many reports, they did not find any irregularities in the way the animals were treated.
The police did not react. Our journalist helped the dogs
Mateusz Kasperski, a journalist for “Wprost Biznes”, witnessed the conditions in which the four-legged friends were kept and has no doubt that the law was broken in this case. He saw that the dogs were locked in a kennel 24 hours a day, often had no access to water, and their physical condition indicated serious neglect on the part of the owner. He decided to react.
How both dogs were taken from their tormentor’s property was presented in detail in an article on the website społeczenstwo.com.pl. Its author learned about the case and decided to contact Mateusz to describe the story. The article can be read HERE.
Animals in Poland often suffer in poor conditions, and the lack of appropriate responses from law enforcement only deepens this problem. Our editorial team appeals to everyone to pay attention to such cases and take action that can improve the fate of animals. Let’s not be indifferent to this.
