The Pole’s great return to Formula 1! The fans are already rubbing their hands

The transfer was quite unexpected, considering what the last few months have been like for both sides.

On the one hand, there is an American giant that is just blazing trails in the context of operating in a completely new environment, i.e. Formula 1. It is worth noting that the entire team was built almost from scratch by Briton Graeme Lowdon.

As it turned out, on Wednesday (i.e. August 12), it was announced that his mission had ended. Lowdon was replaced by a Pole who already has quite a lot of experience in Formula 1.

F1 fans do not need to be convinced of what a difficult task the Pole has undertaken. Cadillac has huge problems with finding its place in the realities of elite drivers. Although the American giant has a duo of very experienced drivers, Sergio Perez and Valtteri Bottas, for now the main problems are technical issues.

And if these don’t work well, there’s nothing to look for in F1.

Budkowski is probably looking for answers to questions that the American owners of the team began to ask themselves after just a few months. The 49-year-old Pole has been active in the F1 world for over two decades. Interestingly, Budkowski has recently been associated with the world of television, specifically with Eleven Sports.

However, Budowski also has experience in managing a team in F1. He experienced it most intensely in Alpine, where the Pole celebrated, among others, a great success in the form of victory during the Hungarian Grand Prix by the driver of the team – Estaban Ocon. It was 2021.

During his career, Budkowski also worked for Ferrari, McLaren and the International Automobile Federation (FIA). Cadillac has certainly chosen a man who can bring a lot of good to this newcomer in F1.

And fans from Poland are already starting to dream about… transfers of their compatriots to the elite drivers. At the forefront was Tymek Kucharczyk, who congratulated Budkowski on his return to F1. Although of course it is pure kindness, one should not look for a deeper meaning here.

The next months will show how much Budkowski will bring to the new team – both for himself and the entire F1 structure. It seems that the Pole may be the right direction for development for the US team, which has its own ambitions, but is learning from the realities.
